I'm still trying to figure out why in the heck the lamp wont auto ignite. Still having to manual start it. I've replaced and checked everything i think. From the bulb to relay to diode to ignitor...checked voltage i thought everywhere. adjusted and switched out the ignitor trim pot....however at that last step...i checked the voltage going to the pot...there was none! i think i might be finally getting somewhere but alas i have no idea what feed the volts to the pot....any help would be greatly appreciate...or any other ideas you may have, that i might have overlooked...

Check the wires to the resistor, the long cigar-shaped ceramic thing mounted in the power supply. One wire runs to the transformer and another runs to the...I want to call it "heat sink", where the diodes are mounted.

Often the auto strik got one feed from the volt amp switch the other from the breaker

correction one side I believe is conncected to the voltamp switch the other to the shunt
check the schematic for your particular console and then trace it back

Thomas check the 100 ohm/100watt resistor, if that is open you will not get auto strike, if that is okay replace the zener diode under the relay next to the pot you replace...

yes Travis is the man...after trying all the tips....for 8 months...finally able to relay some useful input from don and gordon...its all good and everything works like a champ...thanks everyone....
