i noticed this symbol on the tail end of Reel6 (final reel)
of my print of "Did You Hear About The Morgans?". I don't
recall ever seeing this on any other prints, it only appears
on R6 of this print, and only on the tail end. It looks sort
of like a 'ship's wheel'. Does anyone know if it has any
meaning or special significance, or is the lab just
getting 'cute' and I have way too much time on my hands
and not enough on my mind?

It's just DeLuxe Toronto's way of being cute. I am gonna guess that the rest of your print was sourced from DeLuxe Hollywood (who doesn't engage in this practice) which would explain why the other reels aren't similarly marked.

DeLuxe Toronto has done this (and also using varying fonts for the titles) for many years now.

I'm surprised I've never seen that mark before, or maybe I've
just been 'lucky' enuf not to get any other prints from that lab.

Being in California, you won't see many prints from Deluxe Toronto. If you look at the little white barcode stickers on each reel, in the lower left corner will be a code. A code of "K11" means it is the K printer #11. A code of "L04" means it is a Loop printer #4. K printers are used in Deluxe Toronto. Loop printers are used in Deluxe out in California. Shipping distances dictate you will rarely run a K print (which is a very, very good thing).

I see those all the time, but my prints come from Toronto. I do like the bouncy printing, it makes the threaders think it will go away if they tighten down the gate as much as they possibly can [Smile]
