Thermalloy Heat Sink Compound... Available at any electronmic supply or from Digi-Key... part number 249G-ND. 1 ounce tube... larger available.

Does GTS in SLC have this stuff available for I've got a reader coming up for LED replacement as well.

I always use Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste suppose to be the best of the best maybe overboard for what you want to do tho

Remember to apply a thin(!) coating of whatever compound you use. Even the best thermal pastes have worse thermal conductivity than the metals they're joining; they're just there to improve the interface. This is, of course, more important for computer processors where the heat sink is held on with spring tension, than semiconductors held on with studs or screwed to the heatsink, as the pressure will force excess compound out.

I agree Jeremy. I only use it on CPUs or ultra expensive semiconductors though.
