Not sure, but as a guess I would say the 1/2" spindles from a Norelco AA or DP-75 might be adapted to an FP-20....but bear in mind they will be long as they are made for 70mm reels..you'll need to get the 35mm reels with spacers....

But come to think of it, the reels with spacers will not line up with the sprockets centerline...

Kinoton list 1/2" spindles, both European and American (not sure what the difference is), for the FP-30D. Are these compatible with the FP-20?

If not, then any small engineering shop should be able to turn up a few.

The short answer is...yes they do. You do need to specify American or European standards. The difference is in the drive pin. America uses a 1/4" drive pin, Europe uses an 8mm.

The FP20 shafts ARE NOT THE SAME as the current shafts (FP30D on out). The FP20 and older FP30s use a continuous shaft whereas the current shafts are held on by three screws to the shaft that stays in the machine. Now it may certainly be possible to retrofit the current shaft style on an older machine.
