I have a qsc 1400 stereo amp that is blowing the fuse for channel two immediately when powering on, I am not an electrician however I can solder well and if it is something as simple as a cold solder joint I can easily fix it myself. But before I take the amp out of the chassis I thought I would see if anyone has encountered this problem before and point me in the general direction of the problem area.

It's probably a shorted out put transistor. These amps are getting old now... Rebuild kits are still available from QSC to do an entire overhaul of the amps and they are inexpensive. The amp would then last another two or three decades! The fans are no longer available...

Haven't seen a QSC with a blown bridge rectifier in over 15 years... At any rate I reccomend the overhaul kit. Inexpensive and you'r amp will be ready for the Smithsonian by the time it has expired again.
