I just received a shipment of new "pressure straps" as Strong calls them and they were all covered in oil. Is this a normal thing for Strong to do these days? I know they are under new leadership.

Joe,

It is common practice to store corrosion prone metals with a coating of oil. That keeps the moisture away and inhibits rust. Most gate parts that are not stainless steel should be stored with some form of rust preventing coating, oil is the most available material for this use.

Cool, thanks. The last shipment of these did not have this.

Yeah, Lavezzi likes to give them a nice oil bath before they send them out. Enough to make C3PO proud!
