Now that the new speaker we just bought is working, I'm wondering what to do with the old, broken one.

The horn is old and dusty but, technically it is still good. Same with the bracket. There is no driver ("donut") for the back because we used it for the new speaker.
I'll put it into storage for now but I can't imagine that we would have any use for it, except as a stage prop.
The horn support bracket might be useful to somebody. I could sell it on Ebay... Maybe.
The cabinet is old, dusty and broken. The top got ripped off in an accident. A piece of scenery on a fly pipe got lowered on top of the horn and tilted it down so hard it ripped part of the top off the cabinet. I cobbled it back together with a piece of half-inch plywood then sealed up the air leaks with gaffer's tape. Yes, it kinda' works but it's never going to be right again.
I figure I can take the drivers out and trash the cabinet. We could store the drivers in case of an accident or, maybe, put them to use as stage monitors. We'd build new enclosures for them.
I don't think we could sell this stuff on Ebay very easily. Shipping costs could easily be more expensive than the items, themselves. Especially that horn and cabinet. The drivers might be saleable. Everything else is either junk or not useful.
What do you think?

Randy,
I may be interested in the drivers, I'm waiting for a call from my cousin who's a musician. Another friend in town used to re-cone our JBL's when needed.

Clean it up, reassemble and hang in lobby as a prop. Soon you can build a whole system exposed to the public!

I too would be interested in the drivers. I only need two more 2225H drivers to complete my system. I could have them reconed.

Randy,
Talk to Joshua first, I would basically just be giving them away. Sounds (no pun intended) like he could use them

We still have our old projector and sound heads gathering dust in the area behind the screen. John Eickhof was always trying to get me to let him put one of them together in the lobby for a display, which would have been great but the lobby is too small as it is!

We've had 5 of our 15 units converted to Barco's and all that corporate wanted was our platters. So I have 5 projectors and lamphouses worth of spare parts.

Sweet. They will likely do the same thing to us, too.

Yeah, since you guys are freakishly identical. They want the platters, but nothing else. Good news is, you'll never need to order spare parts again.
