hi everybody. Iam a new comer. needed to help from you. i work for cinema in Vietnam. we use processor CP650 and amplifier Crown. But we don't know how to adjust the all channel. the CP650 have software to support. Please give me some advise to adjust for sound. thanks and best ragards.

Dear Phan Ky welcome to the forums. It is best adviced to call a service technician who installed the equipment to perform a correct callibration for it is much too complicated to be explained via a forum. A Watch and Learn method is the best to familiarise yourself.

Hi Phan,

I second Demetris, this is not a task that can be done without proper test equipment and training. The good news is it is a task that seldom needs to be repeated (unless someone tampers with the processor) so it is generally a "one-time" cost.

The possibility of terrible sound or blown-up speakers is very high if you do it wrong.

You need a proper microphone, preferably four of them and a mic multiplexer. These microphones are rather expensive. You should not try to do tuning with a normal PA microphone!
The setup is then technically simple via a Windows computer running the setup program and connected to the CP-650 via a 9 pin RS-232 serial cable.
The procedure is explained in a basic way in the CP650 installation manual. You really need familiarity and experience with cinema tuning to do it properly though. The setup program gives you control over many things that shouldn't be adjusted if you're not 100% sure of what you're doing.

An authorised dealer or service technician.can easily acquire the software from Dolby's secure site. It is not freely available.
