I have a question regarding the installation of the cat 300 cards. I just installed a cp65 that only had a cat 222SR/A card in it. I also have a pair of Cat 300 SR/A cards. Is there anything that I need to do other than just plug these cards in to make them work? I know if its an older back plane or if I'm using Mag there are some modifications that need to be done. There are two indicator lights on the Cat 300. Do these ever light? Right now they don't light up at all.
Thanks

Nope...just plug em in...the CP65 will take care of the rest. The backplane modifications were for early CP65s that would not recognize the Cat222 "SR"/A. With the Cat 300s or 350s in place, it will use the superior SR noise reduction. A noise reduction will still be from the Cat 222 though...which is fine. You only get the A type out of the Cat 300s if are running in 70mm mode.

Hey Steve-o:
If you have a CAT 222SR/A, and a pair of CAT 300s, is it possible to get 4 channels of SR (well two channels and the crappy fake SR from the 222) for a 70mm SR print? If so, how?

Nope...you'll get four channels of A and 2 channels of SR (real).
