I have a CP650 which is not letting the automation switch formats. It also will not activate Non Sync when I press the NS button on the front panel. Disconnecting the automation plug from the rear, the unit will still not let me activate NS. Not sure what the problem could be. Everything else seems to work. I'm sure the firmware is ancient. Any ideas?

Reboot after you remove the remote plug to see what happens. Louis

The remote plug? Do you mean the automation inputs (not running serially here)? If so, I already tried that. Tomorrow I am going to check for any shorts internally. If that doesn't work out I'll head over to the local thrift store and pick up a used Panastereo, though don't those take up like 90RU of rack space and not decode Dolby Digital internally?

Isn't switching formats exactly one of the reasons you are there? I agree with Gord.

I'll have to have a talk with your home office about you not being there all the time...!

Sorry Mark, but I had you blacklisted. They won't answer.
