The R-2 runs on DOS preferably 6.22. The D-2 runs under XP. Both get you the exact same result when they are THX calibrated. The laptop I run my R-2 with only has 6.22 on it and the R-2 program, it boots really fast.

Hello Mr Mark Gulbrandsen ,
Thanks for your reply and is there any manual fro reading the details of THX analyzer R2. And the seller said that it is used with Windows98.

You can certinaly use it with Win 98 if you close out to DOS. THX never reccomended using it in DOS window within Win 95 or 98 as it can become unstable and dropp off. The R-2 is also somewhat computer fussy and can be a bit unstable on some laptops. I am still using the same Toshiba laptop that I bought back when I bought the analyzer... doesn't take much computing power to run DOS! Best of luck finding a used unit, they are pretty scarce...

You could contact Tim Holmes at Acoust-X and see if he will send you a copy. Like most manuals... it's very basic stuff.
