Have somone here play 5.1 sound from DVD/BluRay to Dolby CP65 processor?
How is that done?

I have done it a lot in CP500 but never in CP65.
I realize thad i need DVD/BluRay player that have discreet 6 channel analog out.
But the CP65 seems not have any External 6 channel input.
How is this possible?

Use the format 10 ("Dolby Stereo Digital") input.

If you have a DA20, you will need to either install a switch or manually swap out the cables.

The slickest way to do this is with a DMA8+ (which will decode the digital output from the DVD player), but you don't want to see the price.

You can connect your 5.1 outputs to the DA20 "Audio in" (if I remember corectly). The DA will bypass audio in to audio out when it's powered off.

If you don't have a DA, use the 6ch input on the back of the CP65.

You can use the DA20 as a switch (by turning it off) only if it has the Cat 611A AND you modify the backplane of the DA20 to allow the subwoofer to be switched.

The DMA8 Plus is NOT that expensive for what it is. It is the cheapest Dolby-E decoder I know AND it does not need a Video reference signal to decode Dolby-E. As a straight Dolby AC3 decoder, yes, it is a bit pricey. USL has a lower cost alternative as does Extron and most consumer "A/V" receivers/preamps.
