Does any know if Cinemeccanica manufacture a lens alignment tool for the Victoria 5 projector that aligns the lenses with the gate.

Hi

An alignment tool is available, you fit it from the front of the projector like a lens and you can check the mirror alignment and the entire optical path as a consequence.

Never used it but I would strongly recommend to align the light path using light instead. A Laser could be useful for turret alignment and general rough alignment, but a light source is the best for mirror alignment because mechanical centre is not necessarily coincident with Optical centre. I tried an align'o'tron once and - despite it's a great tool - I ended up moving the mirror waaay out of alignment.

They had a lens plug with two different lens diameters on each end and a rod with internal crosshairs...I had to mark mine (barrel to rod) since the crosshairs where not square....long retired to laser.
