I've read on previous posts that Kinoton don't allow manuals on here. Could anyone help me with providing circuit diagrams for an FP40???

I've acquired an FP40 head but it's been ripped out of the console and will require some electrical TLC to get it working.

Also, I could do with the power socket pinout for the Kinoton film cleaner. Again, it was ripped out and I need to make a cable for it.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Steve Guttag would refer him to the local Kinoton support company in his area to supply any needed diagrams. Steve Guttag also doesn't respond to PMs since he doesn't check them and generally detests them.

Oh...I'm not that grumpy. But I almost always refer people to their local dealer for such things anyway. We are not the document depot (Film-Tech is!) and Kinoton has clauses against duplication, which we honor.

I also have never liked the PM feature...too much hassle.

Film-Tech would like to post the Kinoton manuals, but Kinoton doesn't want their manuals available.

The reason given to Film-Tech was that Kinoton apparently changes their products frequently, that any manual posted may only be valid for a handful of actual serial numbers for that particular model number.

Film-Tech finds this odd, but has respected the wishes of Kinoton.

Film-Tech also says "don't pick on Steve", because he is uber-knowledgeable about everything except platters.

Matthew Taylor has a question regarding the PSU requirements for the Kinoton film cleaner. He would like to know what the output voltage and current requirements are. The connector on the film cleaner looks like it has 4 inputs. Are just two of these used?
