Our organization is looking to buy a new make up table for our 35mm films, but we're having a lot of trouble online shopping. Any product/company/source recommendations? Thank you!

Go to www.iceco.com (international Cinema Equipment co.) or www.cinequip.com (American Cinema Equipment). Both are full-line equipment dealers and should have the MUTs you are looking for.

We don't have a regular service dealer--the equipment has been around longer than I have, and without any repairs.

Also, lots and lots of used 35mm equipment is available out there due to the digital conversions going on. So hopefully Charlotte will link up with a local service tech company that might have links to local Chicago locations of bigger chains that are going through these conversions (I'm in Chicago myself this week, doing some of these conversions). Things like make up tables should be readily available at almost scrap metal prices.

Charlotte,

We purchased a new Kelmar dual drive rewind/inspection bench last year. Having motors on both sides makes things so much nicer. And the easily changeable shafts are a plus, and they have a wide range of shaft types.
