We have a Neumade XCN console, and use 2000W bulbs. Would it be possible to use a larger wattage bulb in there, say 2500w?

It is the rectifier that is going to be your limiting factor (and possibly the availability of the proper lamp adapter). If your rectifier is a G3X-75 then it will be too small. You will want a G3X-77/95 (later name is G3-100 something like that). A 2.5KW lamp's nominal current is 90A and typically max is 95-100A.

Supposedly the smaller reflector is good up to 3000 watts. Don't do it. It will flake. 2500 is about it. The larger reflector should be good to 4500 watts, more maybe with cooling.

Otherwise Steve is right about the rectifiers. Louis

I checked our rectifier and we have the G3x 75, so I guess a 2500w bulb is a no go then. Thanks for the help, much appreciated!
