No doubt this is going to be the dumb question of the day.

CP200 is installed. Non-sync works just fine, left, center, and right. Wanted to verify wiring to projector 1. (A Christie with red light, Dolby analog - only projector right now) Take up isn't finished yet, so I was at least just poking a card between the light and the solar cell just to verify a thump, and I'd know all is at least wired okay, and will be okay to get aligned by a pro as soon as the film path is finished.

Got nothing at all. Hmmmm... Just for peace of mind, I threw it into Emergency Mode to bypass most everything, and sure enough, a very hissy thump showed up. Thank goodness at least for that.

So here's the dumb question - can the cards in the processor (whichever ones) possibly come to me so misadjusted that there is *no* signal pass through in normal mode? I mean I cranked the amps up to full, and the fader up to full just to hear if there was even something subtle and subdued. Nothing. Alignment? Or is this an omen that I'm probably looking at bad card(s)?

When the time comes, is there anybody qualified in the San Diego area who'd like to do an alignment? Not for fine critical settings, probably just basic functionality right now. And how much would you charge? Or you could email me at jimhenk@att.net.

Thanks!

Assuming it is properly wired and not too many mods have been made: Be sure to push a format button, a projector buttpn and then the GO button. Louis

Yep. Projector 1, and I tried it with Formats 01, 03, and 04. Mods? Hard for a novice to spot.
