Actually, Panavision's system is not compatible with anyone elses. Their process most resembles Dolby's but they are not compatible.

BTW, since you're asking about 35mm, their website claims their system is compatible with all over-under 3D prints. So unless there's something special about technicolor-compatible prints that makes it impossible to use, this should work (since technicolor's prints are of the over-under variety, at least according to tech's 3d website).

When booking, we have to ask for a Technicolor 3D print - however, the Panavision lens will work with a white or silver screen, where the Technicolor lens only works with a silver...would that make a difference?

With respect to the prints themselves, it shouldn't. But the glasses of the 2 systems are definitely not compatible, as mentioned.

And the center to center frame distance may be different on both Technicolor and Panavision as well. So you for sure will not be able to run a standard over and under 3-D print with Technicolor's lens. A standard over-under would probably only work with an old Stereovision lens.

Does this mean that Panavision included some mechanism for switching between "standard" over/under and "Technicolor"? Because their site indicates it works with ANY over/under print and not just ones that aren't made by Technicolor...

The Panavision centering is the same as Technicolor so the prints are compatable

We use the Technicolor test loops with Panavision glasses to set up Panavision 3-D in all the theaters we have done.

Any StereoVision .374 over/under split lens will work on Tech. 3D prints. Sirius adjustable split lens will also work perfectly.

Hi!
Panavision's 35mm lenses are manufactured by the same people as Technicolor's! So they are identical in geometry and alignment. So you can use the Technicolor line-up chart to align your Panavision system.
With Technicolor, they insert polarising filters, so you need a silver screen to maintain the polarisation and polarised glasses.
With Panavision, they insert colour filters, so it'll work on any screen surface, but you need Panavision glasses.

You can use the same Panavision glasses for their digital system.
