Hey has anybody heard of these projectors, were they any good and sre they still available, I have been trying to find out info and operators info on these.

I personally did not like working with them. The Bauer and Kinoton 16mm machine were my favorite.

If I remember correctly, the Cinelabor were a similar beast to Fumeo.

I have an Infa-Set brochure somewhere that I can dig out and scan for you Frank. It has some details on the Cinelabor and the Fumeo machines that may be of help. I'm away from my stash of info but I'll be able to look when I get back in a day or two. Stay tuned.

As far as pro 16mm machines go, I agree with Cameron in that the Bauer Selecton II is a nice machine to use - uses an intermittant sprocket whereas the Fumeo and Cinelabor use claws. Haven't had the chance to run a Kinoton yet... but I look forward to the chance.

There were a few around here Frankie, I do remember seeing some. Just got rid of a Kinoton FP18 - beautiful 16mm projector.

Thanks Ian I have a mate in Charters Towers who has got the operators manual that he is posting to me, I got a Fumeo but the mirror is shot and was thinking about replacing it but can't find one anywhere, there were a few on Ebay some time ago which I did not worry about as I was in no hurry to fix the Fumeo but now I want to do it theres........................zilch

Hi Ian: Can you, please, attach the Fumeo and Cinelabor brochures? As for best pedestal projectors, besides Bauer Selection, Philips/Kinoton FP16 and FP18 and Eastman, Hortson machines are very good projectors too. My opinion is that Fumeo is a far better projector than Cinemec (Cinelabor). There are two other italian brands, Prevost and Veronese that make excellent 16mm pedestal projectors.
