A small theater opereator(Actually, he's not that
small- - but the theater is) has asked me if anybody
makes a "license-free" ticketing software package he
can buy outright. It dosesn't need to have a lot of
'bells & whistles" - he just wants be be able to sell
& print tickets at a small independent 2-screen house.

It should aslo be able to print up daily or weekly
ticket sales reports, but I suppose that would be
pretty standard on any tickting software.

It needs to run on a 'standard' Jiva Posiflex
touch-screen terminal running windows XP.

Any ideas?

I write custom software, if he's interested in something like that. (It's a sideline of mine.)

I could be wrong but I think Jack Roe's system may do what you want. They are great people to work with, so it's worth a call.

A number of indie locations I've heard about are using an outfit called "Brown Paper Tickets". They have a good FAQ page at their website, http://www.brownpapertickets.com.
