Ignoring the "quality" issues surrounding the content of the film itself, has anyone else received a Three Stooges 35mm flat trailer that is so dark, it's as though something is wrong with the lamp house?

It was the only thing I had that was remotely kid oriented to add to the front of Hugo. Once I started the show and everything was running fine, I went into the auditorium to check the volume for Hugo (this was its first show here). I walked in, took one look at the screen and nearly flew back upstairs, as I thought the dowser had somehow started to fall, to maybe the fire shutter was dropping. Everything was fine.

So it's clearly the way the trailer was printed. It's so dark, in fact, that Moe ends up looking like a member the Aymara tribe through most of the film, due to how dark his skin tone ends up. It's at least half the brightness I would expect.

I pointed it out to our employee (yes, we only have the one) and she said it was the same when she saw it before Episode I 3-D. The trailer she saw wasn't 3-D, and ran before the 3-D material. Is it possible it's been deliberately printed dark to match the following 3-D material? Or just chalk it up to bad lab work? I honestly have never seen anything like this. The print of Hugo and the unused trailer came from a theatre that does have 3-D installations.

Our digital trailers of "T3S" were crisp and clear.

Call it bad labwork for this one.
