Like ten feet for 35mm. Do (did) they make them?

I've seen lots of adapters that can be focused down to 17 feet, but did they make specialty lenses?

Isco/schnieder made integrated anamorphics that would focus down to a very short throw, but they are pricy. (Around $3,500 list IIRC)

There are regular anamorphic attachments that focus down that far but they are hard to find. IRRC, on some you could unscrew the front collar and either remove or reverse the front element (I don't remember which, it was close to 20 years ago that I did it) to get a short throw to focus.

Check with LIT they had a lot of lenses and may still have short throw stuff.

I have a few that go down to very short distance as well; some separate and some all in one if you are positive about the EF.

I would check Ebay for them; I saw some attachments go there lately for some really, really low prices...

Thanks guys. Have gotten a lot of responses on this.

I was just checking out various possibilities, and I wanted to know if this was physically possible. Apparently, it is. But I might even be moving (close-by) soon, so it's just something I'll be keeping in mind as details sharpen.

Thanks again!

You could also just move the projector back artifically.

In the days before super short focal length lenses I installed a set of projectors 26 feet back from the front wall to allow "normal" lenses. Strange looking, but worked OK. Booth was 60 feet across. (The other side was norma.) Louis
