I work for Cineteca Nacional of Mexico, we have a new proyector: Kinoton 30 E-S, that proyects 35 and 16mm, I would like to know 2 things:
One day we are proyecting in 16mm, suddenly the proyector worked with other frame velocity, but our display showed 24 frame per second. The frecuency inversor displayed 8; What happened??
My another question is:
what is the part numbber of exciter lamp for 16MM

If the inverter said "8" then it was running at the correct speed. 8Hz IS the 16mm speed for 24fps. The FPS readout on the FP38ES reads off of a pulse-tach so it is reading true fps (if you turn the machine by hand, it will still read the actual speed.

You'll need to describe better what happened to figure out just what went wrong. BTW...do you have a Kinoton service support person? The company that installed the projector should have also provided support. The FP38ES is a studio model and normally does not go into typical cinemas.

The Kinoton part number for the 16mm exciter lamp is: 0040 120 000600

These Kinoton was bought to proyect ancient films, Cineteca Nacional proyects ancient films too, we have a deparment of ancient films, we have a lot of festival foreing, therefore, we have to take care the ancient films on these proyectors.

My question regarding support is the entity that sold you the projector...where are they? Will they not support you on parts and to answer your questions?

yes, we have support but the technical knows a little bit about these proyectors, we have no enough information, so I am here.
One day, I turned on my kinoton to proyect 16 mm, my surprise was when the picture was running in different fps, however the display showed 24fps, then opened the back and saw the frecuency inverter on 8, when the another proyector was working on 16, I thought of restarting the inverter, then my failure was solved. I talk with the service technical and just asked me to turn off and turn on the proyector, but not to restarting the inverter, by turning on and off didnt fix the problem, what happened??

16Hz is the normal speed for 35mm. 8Hz is the normal speed for 16mm.
