The cards that were substituted when we lost certification years ago were the same cards, but apparently neutralized of all set points with pots painted over.

Does anyone have knowledge of setup, or purposes of R45, R48 and R51?

Also anyone having an excess monitor bridge it seated into and want to sell please let me know.

Please message me privately if you wish.

I have almost 30 thx card cages. These were made by dbx and predated the thx monitor cage. All you need is the cards. Louis

Hi Louis

Do they have power supplies?

Paul

Yes, the orignal thx used only the dbx frames. A very robust power supply is on board. (Will accept up to 9 cards.)

Later, they added the monitor. I had a few installations that had the monitor as well as a better regular monitor. The thx monitor was OK in output, but very short on gain. It could be hard to hear in a noisy booth. louis

There were 2 later THX monitor/Crossovers.

The one Louis is describing is the THX 3417, which is actually THX 1138's wife # in the movie.

BACP later contracted to build the D1138 version.

Almost 1,000 were built before THX got sold by Lucasfilm and got out of making hardware.

Ironically their own monitor was never thx approved! (but the dbx frame was!)

Dolby equipment never was THX approved as Dolby Labs would not submit to THX as it were, so to speak.
