What are some of the creative things you've done/seen with the old 35MM equipment. I would love to make tables out of the platters and make a display out of one of our old simplex projectors. Any ideas? (If I had my way, I'd have an awesome theater in my basement but the wife doesn't seem to concur with the idea [Roll Eyes] "

I have seen a barbecue grill made out of a lampe house.
You could even keep the blower for inflaming it, and use various openings for smoking/exhausts.

Someone else built a minibar into the lamphouse and had the whole projector sitting in his living room as a decorative item.

One of the other theaters in my company painted some old Strong platters to represent ginormic Captain America shields to help promote the release of that film back in '11. Ohhh, that was fun. I think we still have that thing around somewhere too.
