This house is equipped with Super Lume-x lamps. One has developed a darker area across the bottom of the picture. I've tried to adjust the reflector vertically (which is not an easy process) and can't remove it entirely. The 2,000w lamp is nearly new. The reflector and lamp have not been touched (until now) after the lamp was installed by Sonic a couple of months ago. Any ideas about how to brighten up the bottom of the screen?

On the super lumex the reflector is fixed and the lamp is moved by the joystick adjustment at the back
If it is the bottom of the screen is it possible that the fireshutter or changeover are not fully open

Thank you Gordon. That's exactly what the problem was. (Boy! do I feel stupid.)

Don't feel too bad... I had that exact thing happen once on my E-7. I kept adjusting the bulb but nothing helped.
Then by chance I happened to notice the changeover dowser was hanging down.
Didn't need the dowser to work anymore anyway, so I just wired it up out of the way.

Thanks Tony. I've been working with those things (change-over dowsers) since 1950. You'd think it would be the first thing I'd check.

Which, was the stickler with CHR-P35GPS units with their vertical, wire drawn dowser: Lockdown allen screw that locks the cable to the douser would love to work itself loose causing the tip of the douser blade to slightly drop and hang down into the light stream.
