The threading lamp in one of my Kinoton FP 30's
has died. I'm running a crapload of archival prints
(change-overs only)in the next couple of weeks so
I'd like to find a replacement. I don't have much
info other than that one of the bulb's contacts
is stamped "24V, 3W" Anybody know a source?

I have bought from both suppliers. I prefer 1000bulbs, there are way more options(I didn't list all of them), quicker, more user friendly, good customer service, great prices. I've spent close to a grand with them.

The 24v bit is annoying: if the power supply to your threading lamp had been 12v, you could have bought spare bulbs from any auto parts store.

Note, Kinoton used two different 3W lamps... "S6" or 6x36mm and "S7" 8x31mm. You may need to change your socket, depending on what lamp you can get.
I believe we still have both in-stock.

Thanks everyone. I ordered several of the bulbs the
other day.
If I don't get them by next week when I really
need them, I can 'borrow' one from an FP-38E
(Kinoton 35/16mm),as it appears to use the same bulb.
At first, I thought I could use one of the threading
bulbs from a Kinoton DP75 (35/70mm) because I have a
lot of those, but they use a totally different lamp.

You may want to consider putting in an LED lamp and never have to worry about it again. Search for 24v Festoon lamps.
Here is a three watt version. This is about twice as bright as the original and required a slightly larger socket. Results are very good.
