Well it seems that Jack Roe has discontinued their house brand of lens cleaner And since we don't meet the new Rosco Canada minimum monthly billing requirements that is ruled out
I was thinking of bulk making our own in house cleaner
From what research i could discover that MEK will disolve lens coatings yet when mixed with Ethanol is a popular cleaner
Any one made their own with any sucsess

Zeiss makes a really good lens cleaning spray. You don't spray it directly on the lens elements, but rather a micro-fiber cleaning cloth and lightly any strange specks. I use it to clean camera lenses, sunglasses and my computer monitors. The stuff isn't very expensive. There's some kits on Amazon featuring one or more bottles of the cleaning solution and some Zeiss lens wipes for only $11-$12.

We used MEK and pure alcohol mixed 50/50 at Canon for cleaning optics but the long term effects of MEK are not good for people and you could also be held liable. Stick to the Ziess stuff!

You can buy the Ziess stuff at Wal-Mart. It's literally the only thing I buy at those stores!

Zeiss Lens Cleaner is just a rebranding of Nanofilm Ultra Clarity, available on-line and at eyeglass stores everywhere. It has a miild detergent effect, I use it on lenses that have some granular salt/sand issues, after they have been camel-hair brushed off. If it's a fingerprint or something oily, I use Pancro, which they use down in the lens shop and which smells to me like pure methanol.
