Anyone have version 2.74 firmware for this SDDS analog/digital processor? It's going to be crazy-old, but I'm wondering if anyone has a copy somewhere.

Were they ever downloadable from a Sony website or FTP? If you have an old link written down somewhere try plugging it into the internet archive wayback machine. I noticed the archived sdds.com site has quite a few snapshots.

I doubt you will ge it from sony, ten year service period is done now, and here in Europe i know a person who was responsible for tech support no longer works at sony, so to be honest, and since sdd.com is not working don't know where to ask......

Versions later than 2.74 had a bug in it when failing over between digital formats where you would have a second of dead silence. I'm not sure what they screwed up, but they did a good job of it. 2.74 was solid and did not have the glitch, so it is the definitive version of firmware for the DFP-3000.

The site that may have had it is also gone...www.cinematech.com It was up for the longest time when they, as a company, were done (I believe Robbie past away).
I'll check my archives on Monday for it.

That silencewere on changeover installation or single as well? I used 3000 processor (and still do) in some festivals venue where i had 35mm optical/SRD/DTS/SDDS and ch from DCP and newer have any silence while dropping from one format to other, even on SDDS, but everytime was single projector use, and all of my 3000 processor were on latest 2.9xx firmware.

I had all the SDDS stuff, but that was about 3 laptops ago...I asked some of the old SDDS crowd back in Europe, maybe they still have it.

Steve ended up finding it for me on some old antique laptop. I'll put it in the warehouse for a proper archive.
