I have a few questions regarding the DFP-3000 to which I have not found an answer in this forum so far.

1)When was this processor first released? It seems to have been around at least since 2000.

2)Did Sony ever manufacture an official remote fader, or even better, a remote control for this unit?

3)Is it possible to play back mono soundtracks without academy noise reduction?

Thanks in advance for any helpful answers! [Smile]

I think 3000 model was on market somewhere in 1999 or so. As for remote i newer saw official unit to be there, but it's just simple potmeter for level control and rest of preset can use just pushbuttons for preset change connected to automation connector.
Don't sure can you play MONO without filer on it, i know on DCP-1000 unit you can, just don't know is it same available on 3000 unit.....would need to check, because still have couple of them working today as they do have- two multi ch aux input which makes them great for dcp with use of external D/A converter.

If you have SDDS remote software try to select mono preset and see can you switch of academy mono......better than to play with setting on lcd.

Hi Marin, thanks for your answer!

I somehow completely forgot to reply to it. Sorry for that! [Smile]
