Hi
I wonder if anyone can help with an odd situation I'm having with a cx20 lamp house . I'm running 1000watt xenons with an item ex85 rectifier at its minimum output of 45amps, the manual says its suitable for 1000w bulbs.

The ht seems to be tracking to ground and causing the lamp not to strike , if I fiddle with the anode cable it strikes sometimes. If I slide the mirror back it strikes every time , so it seems to be arcing to the rim of the mirror . I've tried another bulb and same issue . Does anyone know how I can solve this ?

Cheers Jon

Hello Jonathan,

It seems that the ground cable is too close to other metal objects which causes the ignite-spark to jump elsewhere.

Try to position the ground cable in a neutral as possible away from the steel mirror etc.

J.
