What is (was) Dolby Cat 448 used for? It´s an add on to the backplane of a CP65.

I "found" it on a CP65 used in a screening room some years back. It seems to have one balanced 6 channel input and two Lt/Rt inputs (balanced & unbalanced).
Something used for print master tapes?

Yep, it was used in post production.

I ended up with a few but they have no particular application at this point.

Any documentation around?
When I look at it I see a 6 channel input with level adjustments. Terminates in the 6 channel input for fmt 10.
The Lt/Rt inputs are routed into the CP65 through J16. I guess SR/A noise reduction can be applied to the signal.
But how was all this controlled?

I will check what I have. This was after my days there. It was probably controlled by the remote on the DS4E dubbing interface made by and used by Dolby Labs in the print mastering process where you compare the actual audio off an answer print to the print master it was made from.
