We had a major tragedy at the theatre tonight. The curtain got jammed causing the cables to unwind from the drum and get tangled in the mechanics. I don't think the curtain is derailed, but the cables may also be off the upper pulleys.
Going to have to fix it tomorrow. Untangling should be doable, but not sure if winding the cable back on the drum is easy or hard.
Any advice on how to do it right?

The same thing happened to me at the Cinema Brookline (in Massachusetts) in 1978. I tried winding it, I tried fixing it, but couldn't get it to work. Finally I got the curtain all the way open and it stayed that way until a trained troubleshooter came out to fix it.

Well, got it untangled, and now waiting to find out when the pros can come and reset it.
