Hello Everyone

I'm experiening a problem with some of my 35mm films.
Some reels now show numerous white spots on each side of them.
Can anyone tell me what they are?

Looks like mold, possibly from storage in a damp and/or hot environment. If so, it can be removed with various film cleaners.

I would agree with Mitchell's suspicions regarding mold. I had a number of reels that developed a similar appearance while stored in film drawers in an area where the humidity was not controlled.

Agree with Mitchell & Donald...Mould for sure & Film Guard sorts it really quickly.

Had a bundle of 16mm prints stored in poor conditions before I acquired them & all had spots just like that & careful cleaning with FG sorted the problem.
There was a lot of dirt on the prints themselves so the FG fixed both issues in one go. [Smile]

I was worried they started to have some degradation I will try to clean with Film Guard as suggested.
