I have Pageant Marc 300. It powers up, the douser works and so does the amp but the bulb will not ignite. I've tried another Marc 300 bulb to no avail. The fan switch does not work but when you flip on the lamp switch, the fan comes on. I do not hear the "ticking" sound when the bulb is trying to ignite. Does this sound like a problem with the power supply? the projector? or both?

I dont have much documentation any more on the Marc systems but there were two different types of powersupplies The original ones were made by GE the later ones were switchmode out of California
There is I believe still a LA company that repairs them

Can you even get bulbs for them? I know that they were expensive at the time you could.

You can test the voltage at the pin terminals where the lamp plugs in using a standard digital multi-tester. For a MARC 300 projector it should read about 37.5 VDC when the lamp switch is turned on. If there is no current or the voltage is way off you have a power supply issue or short somewhere. NOS EZM MARC 300/16T lamps as well as the EZT MARC 350/16T lamps can usually be found on ebay for one price or another. $20 to $60 is about average but I see some listed upwards of $700 and it's probably only going to get worse as nobody is making them any longer. They do make for a nice bright 16mm picture, though.
