Thanks for the nice clear drawing. The intermittent I have here on my desk from one of my parts heads is identical in every way except NO drain screw! Then I went and looked at one of the machines I'm running and sure enough--there's that handy dandy drain screw. Removed it, and unit is empty. So I go get a quart of non-detergent SAE 20 in the morning and take care of that matter! One of the sight windows disintegrated when I cleaned it with a Q tip. I can "cheat" and degrease the area and add a dab of RTV for now.
Same thing happened with this one from parts head. I note that it's plastic and not glass and removes from the back. 10 cent item in the original 1937 "Parts and Price List" I happen to have here. CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG: to avoid disturbing machine timing and same time to boot, I can remove just the front to replace that sight window while leaving the intermittent body installed. Easy enough job to make a new little plastic window. Maybe both of them while I'm at it.

Welcome to the forum.
