Hey

With the Dolby CP500 one has the possibility to create User Formats and configute them with many options. But in the Installation manual there is no information about all the available options. It only mentions that there is a Custom Format Builder. Is there a separate manual or bulletin on that topic?

I don't think so. The process is not daunting though. It's been years since I did it but recall it as fairly self explanatory. We usually would set up a second nonsync with matrix decoding on CP500s.

Tech/guru Joel Miller set my CP500 up for
USER 1: Perspecta
USER 2: 4 track magnetic, works fine with 3 track.
FORMAT 42: 4 track mag with Dolby A-type for "Yentl".

He had Installatiion and Alignment manual open, but just went at the buttons clickety-click. All came up fine.
