Hi all, am looking for the manual for the ORC m1600 compact lamphouse. It’s the style that has an external rectifier and actually takes a 1kw bulb. I checked warehouse and all that’s there is for m1000.
Anyways thanks !

There are two rectifiers. Hopefully you did not end up with the electronic rectifier... Theres a huge heatsink of germainum pass transistors that are NLA.

I did not get a rectifier with it but I did pick up a 1kw strong switcher, the smaller type. I’d like to adapt it to work

Shouldn't be too hard, but you need to be absolutely sure that it is wired correctly before applying power. The lamphouse will need 120 volts for fan and rectifier. I am not familiar with the 1kw switcher, but the other Strong switchers all run on 220 volts single or three phase power and they include a step down transformer to supply lamphouse 120 volts. The lamphouse will send that 120 volts back down to the rectifier to engauge it's contactor when you throw the toggle switch on the back of the lamphouse on. The only issue might be the no load DC voltage being wrong to activate the auto ignite. But that can usually be fixed by changing a zener diode.
