For a small arts centre cinema in Gloucester, UK
The Gloucester Guildhall, also known as the Guildhall Arts Centre, in the centre of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England occasionally needs a relief projectionist to cover shifts
It has one screen (100 seats) running arts/second run features, normally Tuesday to Saturday evenings, with afternoon screenings on Wednesdays and Saturdays
This screen is equipped with a 35mm Westrex/Century projector (not turret)
fed by a Strong Alpha platter (5 deck)
Sound's analogue, Dolby Sr using a CP65
no automation
occasionally screen films in second auditorium (160 seats), but this is generally used for music concerts.
second screen is equipped with a pair of Century projectors - manual turrets & manual plate changers
changeover operation
silent speeds possible
Analogue sound via Dolby CP45
no automation
both screens have reverse scan LED readers in the soundheads
contact Mr Chris Pike at the Guildhall in Gloucester if interested on +44 1452 396369 or Ms Pat Roberts on +44 1452 396385
feel free to mention my name when you call (was a projectionist at this place until promoted into a full-time programme support, finance & admin role)
main screen's a conversion of an old Victorian Council Chamber
other, occasional screen is the old Victorian ballroom where EMF filmed the video to 'Unbelievable' - bit of trivia for you there
