Please note - I have no connection with this institution; I just noticed this on the web and thought that an F-T reader might be interested. Please also note that the posting went up on May 31, and so I'd suggest contacting them to check that the job hasn't been filled before putting the time in to preparing an application.

Projectionist

The projectionist is responsible for the maintenance of equipment in the Los Angeles Times Media Center and, when necessary, Ahmanson Auditorium and other areas that utilize audio-video equipment throughout the campus. This position provides projection and AV assistance to faculty, administration, guest speakers and students for classes and events in the assigned auditorium; supports the AV Specialist in other administrative tasks related to the auditoriums, such as scheduling; and performs work under defined and uniform procedures.

The major challenges of the position include:

Emergency response in last-minute AV requests
Troubleshooting
Overtime work when needed
Customer satisfaction
Product knowledge and technical support
Replacing broken equipment—switching out computers, video projectors, amplifiers, etc.

Reports to: EMS Supervisor

FLSA status: Non-exempt
