There was a time when I would make an effort to see as much movies as possible in a theatre and would see up to three movies in a day to do it. If my schedule had permitted , you might have even seen me at a movie theatre during week days. All of that has now changed because I have found that my digital photography business requires me to spend more time at my computer than at a movie theatre. In a way this is good because it gives me an opportunity to log on to the Film Tech forum and relax when my eyes get tired. I now have time to see only one movie a week and if I am lucky, I might see two. Because I have missed a lot of good movies at the theatres, they are now being released on DVD and I have been renting them from Tower Video for about a $1.30 a night with my senior citizen membership. Watching movies at home had turned out to be almost as enjoyable as seeing them in a theatre and maybe better. My picture and sound is comparable to many theatres and only the Waikiki Twins, #3, Ward 16 and the Kahala is better. With this in mind, I have decided to see only very big pictures in theatres and all others will have to wait until the DVD is released. There are even some major pictures I have decided not to see in theatres including "STUART LITTLE", "MEN IN BLACK 2" "ICE AGE", "BLADE -2", "XXX", "SPY KIDS-2", "GOLDMEMBER" and many others. I have even cut back on my DVD purchases by buying only movies I really like. The last one I bought was "THE LORD OF THE RINGS" and many of you know what almost happned to that one at Costco. Another reason I had decided to skip many theatrical presentations is due to what had happened last weekend at the Waikiki 2".-Claude

Mark, To find out what happened to me at Costco, please read my post "I DID SOMETHING STUPID YESTERDAY" either on Page 2 or page 3 here at "FILM-YAK". To read about the problem I had at the Waikiki Twins, go to the "FILM HANDLERS FORUM" and on page two or three is a post titled "THEATRE STAFF PROJECTIONISTS SUCKS"
I have some very good friends in Columbus, Mark.
My friend Warren Motts operated a commercial photography studio in your city for years and retired several years ago. Warren is now the owner and curator of The Motts Military Museum in Columbus and if you are interested in seeing original articles from the American civil war, World War One and Two, Korea, Viet Nam & Dessert Storm, you can find them all there. I have been to the museum once and it was very fascinating.
