I was curious if there would be any way to connect a DVD player to a CP50 or any other cinema processor for a home theatre. Is this possible and would it work properly? Would the matrix card propery decode the L,C,R,and surround channels?

You'd be better off just buying a receiver or pre-amp/processor and an amplifier(s). I recall hearing that the Dolby CP650 can decode DVD Dolby Digital tracks.

I would say you would probably have to connect it like you would any other video component to the unit. THere are other threads on the site that talk about this. The problem that may occure if connecting it straight to the preamp card of the processor may be in the circutry of the card and the use of the HF gains for optical inputs from the solar cell. It may distort the incoming line signals of the DVD player.
