Recently relaunched TV syndicator Debmar Studios has bought the rerun rights to Comedy Centrals "South Park" and plans to clean up language & sell the shows to broadcast TV stations. Of the 140 "South Park" epsodes produced thus far only 10-12 cannot be edited for broadcast.

I bet that the syndicated South Park will not be one of my top-picks on my local stations.

Actually, I am amazed at what the local stations do play... Springer and all that crap, etc.

It is laughable how broadcast networks "edit" their content. They just fuzz out the exposed nipples and bleep the curse words. Yet the message still gets through loud and clear. The average soap and afternoon talk show is about as appropriate for general audience viewing as a hardcore porn flick.

I enjoy watching "South Park" on occaision. However, I would not consider it appropriate for over-the-air programming regardless of how well they bleep out Cartman's curses.

Funny, but South Park has been available on videotape for a while now. I see them on display in the video section at Target Stores.
