I was told that a newer less PC version was soon to be on sale for region 1...any ideas if when and where I could get one.

The complete print has been available for ages from Cult Video in Holland (at least I think that's the label my copy is on - I'd have to look). Are you implying that the US release is censored?!! (Much like the supposed 'director's cut' of Addio Zio Tom released by Blue Underground in their Jacopetti box set I guess). I'm sure you'd find them on ebay easily enough.
