This movie recently came out on DVD. I'd seen a few bits of it before on Turner Classic Movies at some point in 2002 or early 2003. I watched it in its entirety tonight and really like this movie. It's refreshing to watch an older movie of a totally different variety.

The transfer looks a little soft and unfocused, but it's very clean looking and is a 16:9 anamorphic transfer. The framing looks very tight at this ratio in some scenes and the titles just barely fit in the frame, and are sometimes slightly cropped. I wonder what the true intended aspect ratio was for this movie at the time it was released. In a theatre, it may have looked better at 1.66:1.
