As anyone noticed this, this really sticks out like Tom Cruse’s smile from the moons surface, and it’s bugging me big time, with HD-DVD will there be a need for this edging nonsense to go on.

As far as the rest of the imaging goes colours look superfine there is some stepping in some parts where there in the Stella Cartography room where some of the curved images show this problem, this well not happen on film so with all this technology at hand why can’t they fix it step by step, and making it look good on the experienced eye.

Sound mixes Dolby and DTS all sound neat and bass is in you chest on the parts where they are all loosing there grips to hang on and going from side to side like brainless sheep, is dame good.

And the attack on the USS Enterprise is a real kicker, with lots of sound moments in the split-surrounds that perform well the centre back surround turned on the openness is like the hollow deck, fronts are full with dynamics from the softest sound to the largest sounds of phasers photon torpedo’s hitting the haul of Enterprise with a smacking sound the LFE is high at 25Hz and 40Hz slamming into the listener.

The point of no return as Enterprise heads downwards, towards the planet totally crippled and with no possible way to get out of this one, she is doomed alone with most of her crew…

This is not all bad as a Star Trek film goes, well a little bit like an extension of one of the TV shows, and Killing captain Kirk made my cry dame screenplay writers, but in the Star Trek Universe there are always possibilities all I say live long and prosper…
