The latest series of Dr. Who with David Tennant as the good doctor is finally coming to American Television this Friday. I was just wondering if it is any good? The last Doctor I liked was Davidson way back when.

the last series with Christopher Eccleston which screened last year was excellent. This site should give you a good idea of what it's like.

Actually, it is Christopher Ecceleston that stars as "Dr. Who" in the show that begins this evening on the Sci-Fi Channel, not David Tennant.

Ecceleston walked off the show after one series and has already been "regenerated" into Tennant in the UK.

I have all the new season with Christopher Eccleston on dvd which i think chris played an awsome part,

David Tennant is the new Doctor following Ecclestone's regeneration and was in the 2005 xmas special and the next series

Disagree.

I'm of an age where I have lived through all the doctors and doctors assistants, (including some VHS of times gone by) and the Eccelston / Piper crew are, in my humble opinion, the best of the lot by a wide margin.

but it's only 2 feet tall! the description seems to imply that it was an actual prop, so maybe it was used for miniature scenes?

it appears to be the original design, unlike the '80's daleks in the second pic.

so is the scifi channel showing the episodes unedited and commercial-free? i don't think we get that channel.

Sci-Fi is showing them un-edited, but with commercials. Kind of annoying after years of watching them commercial free on PBS. The ran "Rose" and "End Of The World" last Friday. The new doctor is indeed quite good.
