After watching Mulholland Drive on DVD tonight, I am still amazed by this awesome film. Each and everytime, this movie takes me into it's world. While I totally enjoy this film in it's entirety 100%, I especially liked the Silencio scene. It almost has a mystical and erie quality about it. Just seems to me that I can't get enough of this movie. I saw this movie twice at Landmark Theatres La Jolla Village 4 and once at the Pacific Theatres Gaslamp Stadium 15.

Personally, I think David Lynch is a master of mystery and intrigue. The other films I liked from his were Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Dune (1985). Anyway, what do all of y'uns think of this movie?

I couldn't make up my mind when I first saw this during it's theatrical run but when revisiting it on DVD earlier in the year my doubts about it were confirmed.

One thing that bugged my was the look of the film. It's not the David Lynch of "Blue Velvet" and "Wild At Heart" or the eeireness of "Eraserhead".

To me it's not as engrossing as his previous work and the characters are not all that interesting. It's weird but not weird enough.

My top pick of David Lynch's films is "The Elephant Man".

But then I would recommend anything by David Lynch because all his films are unique and different compared to typical churned out cinema we see a lot of today.
