I don't know how many of these they have but if you love POTA the fantastic Blu-Ray set of all five movies is the "Deal of the Day" at Amazon for $57.95. Get your stinking paws on one!

Thanks for the heads up! I just got a $25 certificate from Amazon (I guess I racked up enough points) so this set ended up costing me $33 bucks. Not bad.

Mike - Did you get your copy yet? What a fantastic package. The book is unbelievable and the movies look and sound great. I thought the odd package configuration would bother me but it doesn't and the content is amazing.

Not yet... I chose the free shipping option, which usually takes a week or two (though oddly, the last blu rays I bought from them with this option arrived 2 days later).

Joe,
Does the set include the remake with Mark Wahlberg? It was not as good as the original film series but it would be nice if it was part of the POTA BD set. Is there a deadline to oder the set at the special price?

It's just the original feature films of the series plus a nice 200+ page book.

I just got mine today, and it's a great set. Can't wait to fire them up this weekend.

The book is beautiful. Not the typical DVD swag...it's really great.
Claude - unfortunately the deal was only for one day. It's now back at it's regular price of $82.99. The set only includes the first five films. That remake was terrible...the only truly disappointing Tim Burton film I have ever seen. There is a standard DVD set that includes all the films including the remake, all the episodes of the TV show, all the episodes of the animated show, the "Behind the Planet of the Apes" documentary and presumably all the available behind the scenes material. It is in an ape head package:
POTA Ultimate Collection
Of course not being blu-ray - at least for the feature films - it's a little behind the times.
