I recall seeing this on TV when I was very young back in the mid 1960's, and even though it scared
the beejeszus out of me, out of me and gave me nightmares, it became one of my favorite films.

I'd forgotten about it until a few years ago, when I came across the DVD online and bought a copy.

I look forward to your 3D release!

I'll be reviewing it for DVDTalk.com- watched the movie and all the extras on Friday, will watch it again with the commentary in the next day or so. I didn't think too much of the movie itself but the picture quality was VERY good especially considering the poor shape of the film elements. Just shows once again how important film preservation is!

I don't believe there is a finer example on Blu-ray of color being restored to a completely faded print. Most people don't know how difficult it was to achieve those results!

My copy of GOG is coming from Amazon this afternoon and I will post my comment about it tomorrow.

BTW, I can watch 3D on my set again after I got a new remote for my Samsung 3D disc player when I had problems with a Panasonic player when it stopped playing 3D discs.

My BD copy of GOG in 3D arrived yesterday from Amazon and I watched it last night and it was fantastic! Not only the feature is great but so were the supplements. It was just amazing how beautiful the color was on the blu ray considering the fact that the left eye part of the film was lost for over fifty years and found in a very badly faded condition and had to be restored. Although the science fiction murder mystery was not that great, the movie was very entertaining. It was the 3D I was interested in and because it was a film from the 'Golden age of 3D' in the fifties, it more than lived up to expectations. It was so good, it makes you wonder why modern 3D movies are not as good.

The restoration demo in 3D was also fantastic and so were the supplements and interviews with the director and film editor of GOG, Herbert L. Strock and Director of Photography and Co-Creator of Natural Vision , Lothrob B. Worth. I have not listened to the commentary with Robert and two other film historians, Tom Weaver and David Scheter but will tonight.

BTW, Robert Why was the 'Intermission' title card not included?
